It's evil to use our wetwired drive for acceptance against us like a club. It's childish behavior - self-aggrandizement by demeaning others - usually hidden in a cloak of OhDearLetMeHelpYou.
Even worse is when it's about making money. Thank you, Jenny Craig. Thank you, Weight Watchers, Bowflex, et cetera ad nauseum. Your greed has twisted our forebrains, turning them into our enemies. If the universe holds any justice, you will all come back repeatedly as slugs on a salt flat.
*sigh*
